Job Summary
Pitch, develop, research, and report for diverse video formats including investigations, podcasts, and breaking news on tight deadlines. Manage pre-production logistics, shoot, and edit content while ensuring adherence to WSJ journalistic and legal standards. Collaborate with reporters and editors across the newsroom to produce premium video pieces covering economy, politics, technology, and more. Submit a resume, cover letter, and portfolio links by May 8th.
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience producing video pieces in a news environment at a national or global media company, both in the field and in studio
- Prior experience with every aspect of video production from start to finish, under tight deadlines
- Exceptional script writing skills
- Experience as a DP in the field and in-studio
- Some prior mid and long-form documentary and series experience
- The ability to clearly communicate and effectively collaborate
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
Desired Qualifications
- A deep understanding and interest in The Journal's core coverage areas
- Experience covering a broad range of topics: from the economy and markets, to politics and technology
