Job Summary
Build telemetry for conferencing quality, tracking latency, quality, and resource use on the device to diagnose bad calls. Move critical metrics to show clear improvements in audio, video, and device load within the year. Own specialist problems from diagnosis to fix, ensuring recurring issues stop recurring. Share knowledge to sharpen real-time media calls and flag design wrong turns before they cost months. Work remotely in Europe or hybrid from the Copenhagen office as a full-time engineer, shaping how quality is measured and judged.
Required Qualifications
- Years of experience with real-time media (WebRTC, codecs, media server)
- Experience building or leveraging telemetry to diagnose issues in messy real-time systems
- Ability to lift the team without needing a manager's title
- Experience diagnosing and fixing recurring conferencing issues from diagnosis to fix
- Experience with WebRTC
- Experience with codecs
- Experience with media server
- Knowledge of why a call holds together on one network and falls apart on another
- Experience with the native protocol implementations (project-based contract option)
- Location: Remote in Europe, or hybrid from Copenhagen office
- Employment type: Full-time preferred
