Job Summary
Own the long-range worldwide Medical Affairs vision and integrated strategy for BMS's neuroscience portfolio, setting priorities and measurable outcomes across Global, U.S., and International markets. Provide decisive medical leadership in enterprise governance, including portfolio prioritization, asset sequencing, and investment trade-offs from early development through commercialization. Partner with Discovery, R&D, and Business Development to shape target product profiles, trial designs, and evidence requirements that reflect evolving science and patient need. Lead integrated evidence plans aligned with regulatory and market access goals, embedding diverse patient perspectives into lifecycle strategy. Serve as the global medical voice for BMS Neuroscience with regulatory authorities, academic institutions, and patient organizations, while building strategic alliances to accelerate innovation and access. Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive team across headquarters, regional, and field functions, establishing clear decision rights and operating rhythms for compliant execution.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced doctorate degree in medicine, neuroscience, psychiatry, or a related field
- MD or DO
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
- strong record in Neuroscience and global Medical Affairs and/or Clinical Development
- Deep scientific and strategic expertise in psychiatric, neurodegenerative, or neuroinflammatory disorders
- broad ability to lead an integrated Neuroscience portfolio
- Demonstrated success building enterprise therapeutic-area and portfolio strategy
- ability to influence prioritization and investment decisions
- ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes
- Experience in business development, scientific due diligence, external innovation, licensing or acquisitions, and alliance governance
