Job Summary
Lead the delivery of multiple connected design-build CBTC transformation projects through design, construction, and closeout phases while managing commercial interests to ensure on-time, on-budget execution. Perform independent schedule reviews, provide solutions to project issues, and develop comprehensive Project Management Plans covering program controls, risk, safety, and environmental compliance. Serve as a subject matter expert for Federal, State, and Local agencies, and lead staff development through mentoring and coaching. Accountable for overall management and successful execution of the consultant's contract to ensure performance and profitability. Required to work in Washington DC five days per week without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Extensive Design-Build project delivery experience on transit projects as a Program Manager
- 15+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years of international experience in the delivery of CBTC projects (per client requirement)
- Proven experience in the delivery of public rail transportation infrastructure projects, with construction costs in excess of $1 billion
- Familiarity with WMATA or similar agency policies and procedures
- Proven experience in successfully managing the delivery of a major transit program consisting of multiple connected projects through design and construction
- Advanced SME-level proficiency with transit and rail engineering principles, practices, process, standard of care, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to engage at an executive level
- Excellent computer skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
- Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
- Required to be in the work location 5 days per week
