Job Summary

Senior leadership role overseeing RF’s Power program and GEAPP partnership, serving as the Foundation’s senior relationship leader with GEAPP, driving governance, strategy, and value realization across the energy portfolio. Responsibilities include advancing shared goals on energy access and climate, monitoring performance against priorities, mobilizing fundraising with donors and co-investors, leveraging RF’s network to unlock capital, guiding governance practices within GEAPP, coordinating with RF leadership, and representing RF in external forums related to GEAPP and global energy initiatives. Requires extensive experience in global energy/climate sectors, proven ability to manage complex partnerships and portfolios, and ability to travel internationally up to 30%. Educational requirement includes a Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • 18+ years of experience in global energy, climate, international development, philanthropy, development finance, impact investing, or related sector
  • Demonstrated success leading high-impact institutional partnerships with multilateral organizations, philanthropies, governments, investors, and private-sector actors
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives and translating strategic priorities into measurable outcomes
  • Ability to align organizational objectives, partnerships, investments, and external influence toward shared goals while adapting approaches
  • Proven track record overseeing large-scale strategic investments or portfolio initiatives with performance monitoring and accountability
  • Deep familiarity with governance structures and board-level engagement
  • Strong fundraising, resource mobilization, and partnership development experience with donors, co-investors, and sovereign/DFI capital
  • Experience serving as senior external representative in high-profile forums and with executive audiences
  • Experience leading energy access, energy transition, climate, infrastructure, or sustainable development initiatives
  • Proven ability to develop and inspire high-performing teams and drive execution across regions
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational leadership with comfort navigating ambiguity
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred in related fields
