Job Summary
Lead integrated strategic communications programs for law firms and legal-sector organizations, serving as a trusted advisor to managing partners and practice leaders. Develop and execute communications strategies that support firm reputation, executive visibility, and business objectives while overseeing proactive media relations and thought leadership initiatives. Drive new business growth through prospecting, proposal development, and pitch leadership, ensuring strong counsel and account performance across professional services and financial sectors. Mentor a high-performing team in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment while leveraging established relationships with legal, business, and trade media.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, corporate communications, or a related field
- Significant experience advising law firms, legal organizations, or legal-sector clients
- Strong understanding of the business of law, including the priorities and communications needs of managing partners, practice leaders, and senior attorneys
- Expertise spanning professional services, financial services, private markets, corporate communications, or another relevant sector
- Demonstrated ability to provide senior-level counsel on reputation management, executive positioning, thought leadership, media relations, and complex issues
- Established relationships with legal, business, financial, and trade media
- Proven success managing and expanding client relationships and contributing to new business growth
- Strong leadership skills and experience developing senior and junior talent
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the executive presence to counsel senior stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, business, or a related field
