Job Summary
Senior Vice President, Intraday Risk roles in Credit Risk with responsibilities spanning intraday credit risk management, risk documentation and reporting, adherence to regulatory and policy standards, and collaboration with trading desks. The role emphasizes analysis, underwriting/approval of intraday credit activities, familiarity with credit systems (e.g., GFC, CFC, LMS, AIMs, Nexen), interaction with regional risk management implementations, development of risk-focused projects, and guidance to junior team members. A strong background in credit risk analysis, portfolio management, borrower rating systems, and real estate appraisal/regulatory knowledge is expected, with a mix of hands-on risk assessment, reporting, and program implementation across regional and global frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- MBA preferred.
- 10-12 years of total work experience preferred.
- Prior experience/background in credit risk preferred.
- Discipline Requirements: Credit Analysis & Approval/Portfolio Management: Formal credit training preferred.
- Operational Credit Risk: Formal credit training preferred.
- Experience as an underwriter and assisting with the management of rapid-turnaround, intraday funds transfers and approvals.
- Country Risk: Formal credit training preferred.
- Experience with borrower rating systems and tracking methodologies, and basic knowledge of fiscal and financial condition indicators.
- Credit Administration: Experience as an underwriter and familiarity with credit administration systems typically used by financial institutions.
- Community Reinvestment Act/Appraisal: Expert-level familiarity with the Community Reinvestment Act and extensive experience conducting complex real estate appraisals.
