Job Summary
Maintain platform stability, availability, and resiliency for IBM Mainframe infrastructure across production and non-production environments. Lead recovery efforts during critical incidents, perform complex troubleshooting, and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, risk reduction, and operational efficiency. Support system software upgrades, lifecycle management, and long-term technology strategies while ensuring compliance with enterprise risk standards and audit requirements. Mentor engineers, partner with cross-functional teams on modernization efforts, and serve as a subject matter expert for mainframe technologies. This senior technical leader role supports mission-critical business services within a 24x7 environment, requiring deep expertise in IBM z/OS, SMP/E, and Sysplex technologies.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of infrastructure engineering experience within large enterprise environments
- 8+ years of hands-on IBM Mainframe engineering and support experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting mission-critical production platforms operating in a 24x7 environment
- Experience managing complex technical incidents and operational recovery events
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline

- Experience working within highly regulated financial services or similarly complex industries
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise mainframe environments
