Job Summary

Establish and execute the strategic vision for Everest Underwriting Partners, driving profitable growth through disciplined portfolio management and strategic capital deployment. Lead the development of annual and multi-year business plans, including production, retention, and profitability objectives, while identifying emerging market opportunities to expand the delegated authority platform. Define underwriting strategy, risk appetite, and growth priorities across all programs, directing the evaluation and approval of new program opportunities and leading decisions on program expansion, restructuring, or termination. Serve as the executive sponsor for strategic delegated authority relationships, developing partnership strategies that enhance distribution capabilities and supporting long-term profitable growth through negotiations with Program Administrators, MGAs, and brokers. Maintain overall accountability for portfolio profitability, growth, and expense management, overseeing portfolio analytics, catastrophe exposure monitoring, and performance reporting to executive leadership. Establish and maintain a robust governance framework supporting all delegated underwriting relationships, ensuring compliance with applicable state, regulatory, and internal governance requirements. Partner with Operations and Technology leaders to enhance efficiency and scalability, championing innovation through data and analytics to improve underwriting quality and partner experience. Lead a diverse, high-performing team focused on accountability and execution excellence, promoting collaboration across regions, products, and functions to maximize customer value and shareholder returns.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in P&C Insurance in North America
  • 15+ years of experience in delegated authority distribution channel
  • In-depth knowledge of core P&C Insurance products, including property, casualty, liability and specialty lines
  • Extensive experience managing and driving the P&L for an Insurance business
  • Proven ability to develop and manage Sales and Distribution channels, adjusting strategies and actions to meet the needs of a changing marketplace
  • Extensive experience engaging with Program Administrators, MGA's and MGU's
  • Ability to develop and execute a strategy across multiple lines and disciplines, assessing options for growth and operational efficiency
  • Proven track record of excellent leadership and team building skills to foster a high performance culture
  • Has a sound understanding of US insurance market and can work across multiple regions and segments to scale solutions
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills with proven experience leading diverse, high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, lead and get work done collaborating with others
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time, as needed
