Senior Vice President, FX & Commodities Middle Office Group Manager – APAC & Japan

Job Summary
Lead Middle Office teams across Singapore, India, Korea, and Japan, ensuring consistent delivery standards and alignment with global operating model objectives. Manage resource planning, budget oversight, and policy development for a complex functional area within FX and Commodities. Drive end-to-end trade life cycle management from front-to-back while resolving complex, time-sensitive issues by coordinating across multiple teams and implementing durable process improvements. Increase productivity and scalability by reducing manual processes through strategic automations and AI tools. Monitor industry developments to translate emerging trends into cost-saving opportunities and operational enhancements. Oversee the risk and control environment, ensuring teams operate within regulatory requirements and escalate control issues with full transparency. Coach and develop line managers and team members across four locations to build capability and maintain high standards of operational practice.
Required Qualifications
- 10 or more years of relevant experience in financial services operations, with a focus on FX, Commodities, or related capital markets functions in APAC and Japan markets
- Demonstrated people management experience, with the ability to lead geographically distributed teams and hold direct reports accountable for outcomes
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a high-pressure, risk-sensitive environment without loss of quality or control
- Clear and confident communicator in English, with the ability to engage senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external clients with equal effectiveness
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering operational change and process improvement initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Japanese, enabling effective day-to-day management of local teams and business operations in Japan
- Prior experience in a senior leadership role within Banking or Financial Institutions, particularly in a Corporate Banking or Markets context
