Job Summary
Senior Vice-President/Counsel in Global Markets and Treasury Services to draft, review, and negotiate legal documents for BNY’s Fixed Income Clearing Sponsored Member Program and secured term loan business; provide legal advice on rules, regulations, and applicable law; develop templates, negotiation playbooks, and governance materials; manage outside counsel; advise business stakeholders on new clearing relationships; collaborate across Risk, Credit, and Compliance; apply AI-enabled productivity tools; and support product development and regulatory risk management in a demanding, cross-office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- minimum of 5 years admitted legal practice with law firm or relevant in-house experience
- Licensed attorney admitted to practice in Florida, New York, or Pennsylvania
- Demonstrated knowledge of repurchase transactions, central clearing, and capital markets transactions
- Mastery in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload of negotiations
- Familiarity with sponsored member clearing models (helpful but not required)
