Job Summary
As a member of the Surgery team you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and the well-being of our patients. Duties include pre-surgical examinations, administering pre-anesthetic medications and monitoring responses, inserting IV catheters for fluids/medications, instrument sterilization, assisting with tissue handling and retraction, documenting data for medical records, adjusting anesthesia levels, providing postoperative care including pain and wound management, ensuring the surgical suite is disinfected, and conveying postoperative instructions to owners. Role requires CA-RVT license, strong anesthesia monitoring/calculation abilities, and high professional standards within a collaborative Ethos Veterinary Health network.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of surgery veterinary experience
- CA-RVT required
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Accurate data recording
- Proficient in anesthesia administration and monitoring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
