Senior Verification & Validation Engineer Interceptor C‐UAS (m/f/d)

Job Summary
Own the system-wide verification, validation, qualification, and acceptance strategy for autonomous Counter-UAS interceptor systems from concept development through operational deployment. Derive customer, mission, and safety requirements into verifiable system solutions and define structured testing approaches across software, hardware, simulation, and flight test levels. Execute model-based verification, Software-in-the-Loop, and Hardware-in-the-Loop campaigns to validate flight control, navigation, and autonomy functions under nominal and edge-case conditions. Conduct robustness, stress-testing, and fault-injection campaigns to evaluate system behavior during sensor failures, communication losses, and challenging environmental conditions. Support ground, environmental, and flight test activities while managing qualification, certification, and system-related risks. Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Autonomy, Avionics, and Flight Test teams alongside military and governmental customers, auditors, and stakeholders. Create and maintain requirements, compliance evidence, qualification reports, and test documentation to define release criteria for prototype, pre-production, and production systems.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in Systems Engineering, Verification & Validation, Qualification, or Testing of complex systems in Aerospace, Defense, UAV, or other safety-critical industries
- Strong understanding of Requirements Engineering, system architectures, and requirements-based verification
- Experience planning and executing V&V activities at component, subsystem, and system levels
- Practical experience with model-based development, simulations, SITL, HITL, and system testing
- Knowledge of risk analysis, hazard assessment, and failure analysis methodologies
- Experience with military, aerospace, or other regulated development and qualification processes
- Structured, analytical, and data-driven working style with the ability to critically challenge technical assumptions and make well-founded decisions
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
