Job Summary
Senior Vehicle Integration Engineer for JCB Access; lead vehicle integration strategy across hydraulics, electrics, controls, structures, and stability systems for Aerial Work Platform platforms; direct system architecture development, DFMEAs, packaging, interface definitions, and machine validation across the full product lifecycle; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance (ANSI, CSA, CE, ISO) and manufacturability; oversee prototype builds, commissioning, and field issue resolution; provide technical mentorship and contribute to engineering standards and continuous improvement; primary location shifts from JCB World Headquarters, Rocester, UK (through Q1 2027) to JCB San Antonio, Texas, USA with international travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or related discipline
- 7+ years of relevant engineering experience with system integration in AWP or equivalent off‐highway machinery
- Experience with global AWP standards (ANSI, CSA, CE, ISO)
- Strong capability in system architecture, packaging, DFMEAs, and integration troubleshooting
- Experience with prototype vehicle builds, commissioning, and machine validation
- Knowledge of DFM, DFA, and manufacturing processes
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) designation
- Experience with NX and Teamcenter
- Knowledge of AWP standards (ANSI, CSA, CE, ISO)
- System-level engineering thinking
- Leadership in design reviews
