Job Summary
Senior Vegetation Management Inspector (Individual Contributor, onsite in Fort Bragg, CA) oversees vegetation projects on Electric Distribution or Transmission systems, supervising VM personnel and contractors, ensuring safety, permit compliance, and high-quality work. Responsibilities include field operations such as tree assessment and trimming, up to 95% field inspections, coordinating with contractors and public agencies, maintaining customer relations, and ensuring adherence to PG&E standards. The role requires travel across the PG&E service territory, with preference for applicants within 50 miles of headquarters. Starting hourly wage is $47.94, subject to bargaining, with wages determined by location and experience. Requires IBEW Local 1245 represented classification and the ability to transfer to a new headquarters upon request.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Class C driver’s license
- Five (5) years of experience as a tree crew climber/tree crew foreman with at least two (2) years of line clearance certification OR
- Five (5) years of experience as a Vegetation Management Inspector and Certified Arborist OR
- Five (5) years of experience as a Registered Professional Forester OR
- Five (5) years of experience as a Utility Inspector or higher classification with at least one (1) year of vegetation management experience OR
- Four (4) years of Military Service with honorable discharge and at least one (1) year additional year of vegetation management inspection experience
