Senior Validation and Verification Test Specialist - LC5ISR

Job Summary
Senior Validation and Verification Test Specialist leads IVVQ activities for complex systems on the LC4ISR program in Ottawa. Responsibilities include defining and executing IVVQ strategies, leading integration and system-level test campaigns in lab and field environments, writing test plans and procedures, maintaining traceability between requirements and test artifacts, managing anomalies and corrective actions, producing test reports and qualification evidence, and ensuring compliance with guidelines. As Product Owner, own and prioritize the test/product backlog, define release priorities, and participate in PI planning; as Scrum Master, facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach teams on SAFe principles. Coordinate with engineering teams, safety, quality, suppliers, and customers to align IVVQ activities with program objectives; monitor metrics (coverage, pass/fail, defect trends) and contribute to test automation, tooling improvements, and CI/CD pipelines. Requires ability to acquire and maintain Canadian secret/COMSEC/NATO ITAR-related security clearances; schedule includes hybrid work with occasional travel within Ottawa area. Minimum qualifications include eight years IV&V experience, stakeholder management, and strong communication; preferred qualifications include experience with military systems, SAFe experience in PO/SM roles, and proficiency with DOORS, Polarion, Jira, TestRail, Jenkins, Robot Framework, LabVIEW, and Python scripting.
Required Qualifications
- At least eight (8) years demonstrated experience in IV&V or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, or other related discipline from a recognized university or college
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented and results-driven
- Collaborative team player with leadership capabilities when acting as PO/SM
- Demonstrated experience with: Test Case development and execution (manual or automated), Requirements Analysis, Test Management Tools
- Demonstrated capabilities: Fluent in English, skilled communicator, both written and spoken
- Experience in military systems or land systems (preferred)
- Experience with SAFe/Agile teams; prior experience acting as Product Owner and/or Scrum Master (preferred)
- Experience with DOORS, Polarion, Jira (or equivalent); test tooling such as TestRail, Jenkins, Robot Framework, VectorCAST, LabVIEW; scripting (Python); and CI/CD pipelines for testing
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, or other related discipline from a recognized university or college
