Senior Validation and Verification Test Specialist - LC5ISR

Job Summary
Senior IV&V-focused test leadership role on the LC4ISR program based in Ottawa. Lead and execute integration, verification, validation and qualification activities for complex systems; drive test backlog and sprint execution; coordinate test environments, instrumentation, data, and artifacts; develop test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices; generate test reports and qualification packages; collaborate with System/Software Engineering to analyze defects and drive root-cause actions; in addition to hands-on testing, assume SAFe Agile responsibilities as Product Owner or Scrum Master to prioritize backlog, refine user stories, and facilitate agile ceremonies; expect hybrid work arrangement in Ottawa with occasional travel to client sites and test environments, and eligibility for required Canadian and NATO security clearances.
Required Qualifications
- At least eight (8) years demonstrated experience in IV&V or a related field
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented and results-driven
- Collaborative team player with leadership capabilities when acting as PO/SM
- Experience with Test Case development and execution; manual or automated

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, or other related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in military systems or defense-related programs (preferred)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with test case development and execution (manual or automated)
- Experience with SAFe Agile practices, Product Owner and/or Scrum Master roles
- Proficiency with test tools and automation frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, Robot Framework, VectorCAST, LabVIEW, Python scripting) and CI/CD pipelines for testing
- Experience with DOORS, Polarion, Jira or equivalent
- Ability to obtain required security clearances (Canadian Secret, COMSEC, ITAR, NATO Secret)
- Ability to travel within the Ottawa area as needed
- Fluent in English, strong written and spoken communication skills
