Job Summary
Lead engineering efforts to design and develop robust, aesthetic software solutions focusing on user experience and human-computer interaction. Provide technical leadership across projects by mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, defining tasks, and selecting technologies to architect scalable systems. Collaborate with Principal Investigators to define requirements tracked in GitLab and execute the full software development lifecycle, from requirements management to deployment. Build direct relationships with customers and external partners while leading technical elements of proposals for new research and development programs. Develop responsive user-facing applications using JavaScript, Unity, or other relevant frameworks. Work in a hybrid (60%) onsite capacity in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with occasional travel to support customer briefings and integration events.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work in a Hybrid (60%) onsite capacity in Cambridge, Massachusetts
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience in DoD
- Willingness to occasionally travel to support customer briefings and integration/test events
- Experience with (preferably leading) test and evaluation events
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices across the entire software development lifecycle
- Understanding of working with multi-performer teams on large-scale integration efforts
