Job Summary
Define design direction for internal and B2B backend tools, from information architecture through polished, production-ready interfaces. Audit existing toolsets to map workflows and identify consolidation opportunities. Leverage AI tools and prototyping to build and validate ideas directly in production. Lead features end-to-end by partnering with product managers and engineers to gather requirements, frame problems, and deliver well-documented work. Present design decisions to stakeholders, grounding rationale in user needs and business impact. Mentor team members on craft and foster honest communication. This role focuses on shaping the infrastructure and interface for Cosm's immersive venue operations tools.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of technical product design experience in software
- track record of shaping complex products
- Deep UX and IA chops
- ability to untangle messy workflows
- ability to rethink information hierarchies
- ability to design systems that scale
- Strong product thinking
- understanding of the why behind the work
- ability to hold your own in conversations about strategy, tradeoffs, and prioritization
- Experience shipping work with AI tools
- treat AI tools as a creative and technical accelerator
- Experience maintaining or contributing to a design system used across multiple product surfaces
- A portfolio that shows evidence of systems thinking, end-to-end ownership, and work built in fast-paced product organizations
- High proficiency in Figma
- habit of pulling in new tools and technologies when they make the work better
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- ability to walk a room through a complex system and make it legible
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in design, HCI, or a related field
- at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
