Job Summary
Senior User Researcher for Azure Data Products. Plan and execute qualitative studies (in-depth interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry), moderate sessions, recruit participants, analyze findings, synthesize insights into themes and actionable recommendations, and communicate results to cross-functional teams. Require strong end-to-end qualitative research expertise (7–10 years), research operations excellence (recruitment, scheduling, logistics), and proven ability to work with enterprise, cloud, analytics, or data-focused products. Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent practical experience) and 4–6+ years of user research experience; excellent communication and organizational skills; comfort operating in technical product environments and with data-focused domains; familiarity with AI tools is a plus. Location: Remote (United States); W2/Contract through 6/30/2027 with potential extension; hourly rate $49–$54.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Information Science, Market Research, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4–6+ years of experience in user research, UX research, market research, or related discipline
- 7–10 years of experience conducting end-to-end qualitative research
- Strong experience with interviews, usability testing, surveys, and qualitative synthesis
- Experience with enterprise, technical, cloud, analytics, or data-focused products
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Comfort working within technical product environments and learning complex domains quickly
- Interest in data, analytics, cloud technologies, and technical user workflows
- Experience researching enterprise software, cloud technologies, analytics platforms, or other technical products
- Exposure to AI tools and their application within research workflows is a plus
