Job Summary
Lead underwriting and pricing of complex Property and Terrorism risks, including multinational and structured programmes, balancing growth objectives with portfolio profitability. Review and negotiate policy wordings and bespoke programme structures while leveraging global catastrophe modelling to support underwriting decisions. Drive profitable new business growth by building long-term relationships with brokers and clients, representing Chubb at market events and industry engagements. Manage the structuring and execution of complex programmes ensuring seamless coordination across internal stakeholders and regional colleagues. Maintain compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements while providing coaching and mentorship to junior underwriters within the Singapore Property team.
Required Qualifications
- Senior technical underwriting expertise
- Sound underwriting judgment
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at senior levels
- Experience in a highly autonomous environment
- Confidence to lead technical discussions with brokers and clients
- Experience with complex Property and Terrorism programmes
- Experience with Multinational and structured programmes
- Knowledge of global catastrophe modelling
- Knowledge of risk analytics
- Ability to leverage global catastrophe modelling and risk analytics to support underwriting decisions
- Ability to maintain contract certainty and administrative accuracy
- Ability to drive profitable new business growth
- Ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with brokers, clients and market partners
- Experience representing Chubb at market events, client stewardship meetings and industry engagements
- Ability to articulate value proposition and identify opportunities to deepen client relationships
- Experience leading the structuring and execution of complex Multinational Programmes
- Ability to ensure seamless coordination across internal stakeholders (e.g., Risk Engineering, Claims) and Chubb's global network
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of underwriting guidelines
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of audit standards
