Job Summary
Review, rate, and underwrite business applying for insurance by qualifying accounts, identifying risks, determining premiums, and negotiating deals with agents and brokers. Manage a complex book of business by analyzing portfolios for growth opportunities, executing marketing plans, and cross-marketing to preferred brokers. Document files through comprehensive account reviews, sign-offs, and referrals that comply with state regulations and underwriting guidelines. Mentor underwriters and account analysts in technical skills while providing regular updates to the team. Participate in continuous improvement activities using problem-solving tools to support team objectives. This role includes 25% travel and is based in the Southeast region.
Required Qualifications
- Intermediate-level knowledge of insurance products/coverage, underwriting, pricing, risk selection, market segments and marketplace
