Job Summary
Manage and grow a profitable book of inland marine and property business by building strong relationships with agency partners to drive consistent new business. Evaluate submissions, pricing, and coverage structures using sound judgment, while analyzing loss runs and exposure changes to guide pricing decisions and structure accounts with deductibles and coverage adjustments. Review policy language and contracts to ensure clarity, partnering with claims and internal stakeholders to resolve coverage questions. Work Monday through Wednesday in the office with remote options on Thursday and Friday. This role supports IAT Insurance Group, the largest private property and casualty insurer in the U.S., as we expand our footprint in key regional markets through collaborative decision-making and visible growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 4+ years of inland marine and/or property underwriting experience
- Solid understanding of the insurance marketplace, including pricing and competitive positioning
- Proven ability to build and maintain broker relationships that drive new and renewal business
- Experience managing a book of business while contributing to growth
- Strong skills in pricing, risk selection, and deal structuring
- Working knowledge of industry trends, products, and the broader competitive landscape
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes
- Must be available for office Monday through Wednesday with option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday

- Industry designations CPCU, ARM, or AU INS21, 22 and 23
- Exposure to loss control or risk engineering—you think beyond the submission and into the actual risk
