Job Summary
Senior Underwriter I, Reinsurance at Everest Reinsurance Company (Zurich, Switzerland). Responsible for underwriting and pricing Property, Casualty and Motor Treaty Reinsurance in Northern, Southern and Eastern Europe, developing and executing business plans, collaborating with brokers and clients, and marketing Everest Re in the respective countries, including regular travel. Requires strong communication, analytical thinking, attention to detail, ability to work with cross-functional teams, and proficiency in English and German; willingness to travel; knowledge of in-house pricing tools and MS Office.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant University Degree or equivalent job experience
- Knowledge of the main classes of business in the region
- In-depth knowledge of short-tail classes of business will be an asset
- Market knowledge and experience in the region would be a plus
- At least 5-7 years reinsurance background in claims, pricing and/or underwriting
- Strong communicator and team player
- Flexibility and open to change
- Microsoft Office skills and the ability to understand and use in-house pricing tools
- Proficiency in English and German
- Other European languages a benefit
- Willingness to travel
