Job Summary
Senior UI/UX Designer for a 6-month full-time contract on Threads of Time (2.5D JRPG). You will design intuitive, visually engaging UI assets, animations, and workflows; collaborate with game designers, artists, and engineers; create UX wireframes and prototypes; maintain UI style guides; ensure accessibility, scalability, and responsive UI across multiple platforms; contribute to UI strategy and playtests, and support bug fixes and polish. Requirements include 5+ years in game UI/UX, strong graphic design fundamentals, proficiency in Unreal Engine, and experience with design tools like Photoshop and Figma. Remote work is available to candidates residing in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, or British Columbia, Canada (with relocation as needed).
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience in the video game industry
- Strong graphic design background with skills in composition, color theory, and art fundamentals
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine
- Proficiency with graphic design and prototyping tools (Adobe Photoshop, Figma, etc.)
- Strong typography, layout, and interface animation skills
- Ability to communicate complex game information clearly through simple UI designs
- Experience designing and implementing UI assets in Unreal Engine
- Experience collaborating with designers, engineers, and artists
- Ability to work in an iterative, feedback-driven team environment
- Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
