Job Summary
Evolve the visual language, components, and patterns within the Design Systems team to refine the colour palette, typography, and spacing for a more polished product experience. Identify high-impact UI opportunities across the app to strengthen usability, accessibility, and brand perception for millions of members. Create compelling visual concepts and prototypes, then build strong narratives around design decisions to influence stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Brand, and Design. Champion high standards of visual craft through reviews and collaboration, balancing aesthetic excellence with technical feasibility.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in visual design, graphic design, UI design, or a related field
- strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing digital products
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and/or other industry-standard software
- Good understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end frameworks
- Experience working in/with design systems
- Exceptional UI design skills with a keen eye for detail, composition, and aesthetics
- Ability to balance visual craft with practical engineering feasibility
- Strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset
- Excellent communication skills, able to clearly explain ideas, advocate for design decisions, and provide constructive feedback to teams & stakeholders
- D documentation skills (Storybook, Zeroheight)

- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in agile environments
- Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and guide team members

Desired Qualifications
- Explore and adopt AI-powered design tools and emerging technologies to improve the quality, speed and efficiency of design workflows
- Experience with motion design and prototyping tools (e.g., After Effects, Principle)
- Experience mentoring junior designers
- Familiarity with accessibility auditing tools and processes
- You notice visual inconsistencies that others miss
- You have a strong point of view but remain open to evidence and collaboration
- You care as much about execution as you do ideas
