Job Summary
Lead and prepare feasibility studies for tunnel and underground structure projects, including geological investigations, design, and rehabilitation. Consult with clients on engineering matters, prepare technical memorandums and reports, and administer construction contracts. Direct projects from planning through completion while ensuring regulatory compliance and managing structural foundations, landslides, slope stability, and geologic hazards. Requires a civil engineering or geotechnical degree, a California professional license, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors and/or masters degree in civil engineering, Engineering Geology, and/or Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
- Hold at least one of the following registered licenses in California: Civil Engineer (PE), Engineering Geologist (CEG), or Geotechnical Engineer (GE)
- Valid California drivers license and available transportation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Understand and be experienced with regulatory compliance issues as they relate to design specialty areas
