Job Summary
This Senior Trial Attorney position focuses on prosecuting child abuse and Special Victims Unit (SVU) cases. The role requires advanced knowledge in criminal prosecution, effective trial skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The attorney will oversee and support other attorneys and paralegals, assist with case assignments, and provide guidance on legal issues and trial strategies. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in New Mexico and have significant prosecutorial discretion in their assigned team.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed attorney to practice law in New Mexico
- Minimum of four (4) years as a practicing attorney in criminal law
- Three (3) years as a prosecuting attorney.
Desired Qualifications
- Five (5) to seven (7) years or more of relevant prosecution experience.
