Job Summary
Senior Trial Attorney will represent insured interests in defending claims under insurance policies, manage a full caseload from start to trial, handle pleadings, depositions, discovery, expert-witness retention, dispositive motions, and trial preparation/presentation with minimal oversight, and communicate strategy and case evolution to policyholders and claims associates. The role requires a Juris Doctor, a bachelor’s degree, 7+ years of insurance-defense litigation experience, a TX license in good standing, and strong interpersonal skills to manage conflicts and complex litigation, with hybrid work options available. The position is based in the Houston, TX area and involves first-chair or solo-trial responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor Degree
- 7+ years of related work experience with experience as a licensed attorney in at least one state with insurance defense litigation
- Experience taking/defending depositions, court appearances, handling dispositive motions, retaining expert witnesses, and trial experience as first chair or solo trial counsel
- Licensed to practice law in good standing in the state of TX
- Bilingual preferred
