Job Summary
Represent insured individuals and the Company in the defense of bodily injury, property damage, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases. Prepare for and conduct hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions while presenting pre- and post-trial motions effectively. Offer counsel to business clients on day-to-day legal matters, manage projects efficiently, and collaborate with legal teams. Monitor new laws and regulations, evaluate case law, and provide proactive advice to business units on regulatory impacts. Requires a Juris Doctorate, five years of litigation experience, and jury trial proficiency. Annual compensation ranges from $90,700 to $153,925.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate
- active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar
- 5 + years of proven litigation experience
- strong litigation-type skills, such as case strategy development, legal research, and advocacy
- ability to manage complex disputes
- ability to work effectively under pressure
- First or second chair jury trial experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in LexisNexis
- internet research skills
- Strong teamwork skills
- Capacity to manage a substantial case load
- Comfortable working in a remote environment
- willing to travel throughout New York for court appearances
- submit to a background investigation
