Job Summary
Senior Transportation QA Engineer responsible for quality assurance reviews of transportation engineering plans, calculations, specifications, estimates, and design deliverables to ensure compliance with MDOT/local/industry standards; perform PE-level plan review and sign-off; mentor junior staff; contribute to high-volume transportation projects; assist in developing and improving QA/QC procedures and best practices; requires Civil Engineering degree and PE preferred, with 8-10+ years of transportation engineering experience; proficient in ORD, MicroStation, and roadway design workflows; strong communication and project-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- 8-10+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Strong QA/QC mindset and experience performing technical design reviews
- Experience with MDOT roadway projects and local agency transportation projects preferred
- Familiarity with OpenRoads Designer (ORD), MicroStation, and roadway design workflows
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Project management experience is a plus
