Job Summary
Senior Transportation Planner lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver transit projects in Florida, oversee transportation and transit planning, environmental analyses, and design reviews; author reports and NEPA documentation; evaluate STOPS and RTC models for transit capital and operations costs; manage submittals and coordination with subconsultants; develop scopes/resource estimates; collaborate with local governments and transit authorities; build client relationships and contribute to a variety of transit, freight, and rail projects (including Commuter Rail and Bus Rapid Transit); support business development through responses to RFPs and marketing initiatives; travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban/Regional Planning, Environmental Planning, or Transportation Engineering
- 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation, with a focus on transit and rail projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or AICP designation preferred but not required
- Active involvement in technical or professional organizations is a plus
- Willingness to travel for day trips or evening meetings
