Job Summary
Senior Roadway Designer responsible for leading and/or assisting with geometric roadway design for municipal and highway projects in the Greater Toronto Area, including urban and rural alignments, intersections and roundabouts, and active transportation integration. Role involves supervising junior team members, coordinating with multidisciplinary groups, preparing client communications and project presentations, and delivering full design packages from feasibility to IFC. Requires 8+ years of direct roadway design experience, a Civil/Transportation engineering degree, and proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Open Roads Design, plus knowledge of relevant traffic software and Ontario design guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Civil or Transportation Engineering
- Registration as P.Eng or C.E.T will be an asset
- 8+ years of related experience designing municipal and highway roadway infrastructure
- Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D; Open Roads Design is required
- Knowledge of Synchro, AutoTurn, and related traffic software
- Experience with ITE Trip Generation Manual, TAC Geometric Design Guide, Ontario Traffic Manuals, Ontario Highway Traffic Act
