Job Summary
The Senior Transmission Line Engineer will be integral to electric transmission line design projects for high-voltage and extra high-voltage systems, working with large utilities. Responsibilities include applying NESC, ASCE, ACI standards in engineering design, performing engineering analyses, preparing bidding documents, drafting plans, and construction documents. The role requires experience in PLS-CADD models, foundations, specifications, project management, and communication with clients. Candidates must have strong analytical skills, leadership experience, and the ability to develop project scopes and budgets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in electric utility transmission systems
- Experience in reviewing full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models
- Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams
- Leadership experience and supervising others
Desired Qualifications
- EIT, FE, or Professional Engineer (PE) License
- PLS TOWER expertise
- Bentley MicroStation expertise
- Bentley ProjectWise expertise
- Mathcad proficiency
- Autodesk AutoCAD proficiency
