Job Summary
Senior Transmission Line Design Engineer to lead transmission line design efforts for utility and energy clients, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, constructible solutions. Responsibilities include design of electrical transmission facilities (line layout, foundations, structure configuration, insulation and conductor specification), preparation of material and equipment specifications, delivering substations and control houses designs that meet industry standards, and reviewing designs for code compliance and constructability. Role is on-site at the client office with positions in Rochester, Buffalo, or Binghamton, NY. Requires 5+ years in transmission line design, knowledge of PLS-Cadd, an engineering degree (Civil or Electrical), and on-site availability. The position is subject to a client-mandated drug/alcohol testing policy and is contingent on client approval of candidates. Position located at the client office.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in transmission line design within utility or power delivery environments
- Knowledge of PLS-Cadd
- Engineering degree (Civil, Electrical, or related)
- EIT required / PE eligibility strongly preferred
- Ability to work full-time on-site at the client office in Rochester or Binghamton, NY
