Job Summary
Serve as Project Manager for transit projects, overseeing client development, delivery, and overall satisfaction while ensuring adherence to contractual agreements, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate and review work from engineers and planners across diverse disciplines to design and plan major transportation infrastructure, including corridor planning, alternatives analysis, NEPA documentation, and funding applications. Supervise staff performance, evaluate results, recommend changes, and mentor employees to achieve project objectives and support business development goals. Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking while interacting with clients and federal agency oversight.
Required Qualifications
- 15-20 years of experience in managing multi-disciplined teams for passenger rail and/or transit projects in Tennessee
- experience as a Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager for FTA/FRA funded projects involving Bus Facilities, Bus Rapid Transit, Light Rail, Heavy Rail Rapid Transit, or Commuter Rail
- PE Registration
- Bachelor degree
- Minimum 15-20 years management experience in the planning and design of transit/rail/ bus / facility infrastructure
- Experience with transit projects ranging from planning/concept design/through project development
- Registration as a licensed PE or AICP
- Bachelor's degree civil engineering or planning field
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Masters preferred
- progressive positions with major transportation agencies or consultants
- Minimum 15-20 years management experience in the planning and design of transit/rail/ bus / facility infrastructure is desired
- Experience with transit projects ranging from planning/concept design/through project development is valuable
