Job Summary
Senior Transaction Manager in Phoenix, AZ responsible for management of end-to-end real estate transaction activities for a complex or high-profile portfolio on behalf of corporate clients. Leads internal and external resources and stakeholders through lease renewals, new site acquisitions, disposal of excess space via subleasing, and other strategic transactions. Requires capable handling of site selection, financial analysis, contract negotiations, zoning and entitlements, and site development for industrial and office spaces (retail experience preferred). Demonstrates program and workstream management, client-driven strategy, and development of documents such as PIFs, market reports, BOVs, RFPs, LOIs, and related analyses. Must have the ability to interpret NPV, cash flow, and IRR to advise clients and to develop portfolio-wide strategies. The ideal candidate will bring real estate development, business, finance and strategy experience to engage proactively with clients, including senior stakeholders across Finance, IT, Procurement, HR, Construction, Legal, and Tax. Requires an active Illinois Real Estate License; healthcare transaction management experience strongly preferred. Strong writing/editing/proofreading, excellent project management, and strong interpersonal skills are essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office and Smartsheet, with the ability to work across multiple time zones.
Required Qualifications
- Active Real Estate License required in the state of Illinois
- 6+ years of experience in real-estate transactions
- minimum 5 years of portfolio management experience
- Associate/Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics and/or equivalent experience
- Healthcare transaction management experience strongly preferred
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills – attention to detail is critical
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience working with cross-functional teams
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Smartsheet and other project management/workflow management tools preferred
- Ability to work across multiple time zones to accommodate global initiatives
- Location-based requirements for Phoenix, AZ
- Real estate development, business, finance, and/or strategy experience preferred
- Experience with financial analysis including NPV, cash flow projections and IRR
