Job Summary
Provide support for processing new collections, payments, trade acceptances, and tracing outstanding items while executing all letter of credit services, including opening credits, processing payments, and managing customer discrepancies. Lead less experienced staff by distributing and reviewing work, offering training, and guiding individuals through complex, non-standard, and time-sensitive letter of credit scenarios. Exercise independent judgment to resolve issues and achieve goals through collaboration with peers, colleagues, and managers, while interpreting procedures to ensure compliance with risk mitigating and compliance-driven policies. Apply subject matter expertise to handle escalations and due diligence in a culture emphasizing proactive monitoring and sound risk decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Trade Services support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrates the inter-personal skills to identify and appropriately act upon scenarios requiring escalation or further due diligence
- 1+ year in a role with exposure to BSA/AML, Sanctions and Anti-boycott policies and procedures, and demonstrates an ability to understand and consistently adhere to procedures related to these subjects
- Possess the written and verbal communication skills to provide clear and concise risk escalations
