Job Summary
Senior Total Rewards Specialist responsible for administering Leave of Absence and Workers’ Compensation, and providing support across benefits administration, retirement plan operations, and broader Total Rewards functions. Own and lead workers’ compensation claims administration with regulatory compliance; oversee leave programs (FMLA, ADA, personal leave); coordinate unemployment claims and benefits inquiries; coordinate annual open enrollment and ongoing benefit changes; manage retirement plan operations and coordination with third-party administrators; ensure ERISA compliance; support PTO/holiday policies and leave-related accruals; prepare reports for data-driven decision making; collaborate with managers, HR partners, and vendors to improve processes and employee experience; may support compensation activities such as job evaluations, market benchmarking, and compensation analysis; requires 10+ years of HR experience, 4–6+ years in LOA and workers’ comp, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; hybrid work arrangement (two days onsite in Walton Hills, OH, and three days remote) with direct hire placement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- 4–6+ years of direct experience in Leave of Absence and Workers’ Compensation administration
- Experience supporting benefits administration, including open enrollment, vendor coordination, and employee communications
- Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and related compliance requirements
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and reporting
- Background supporting Total Rewards programs across multiple states
- Certified or progressing certification in SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR/CEBS (preferred)
- Experience with ADP (preferred)
- Exposure to Canadian benefits or global Total Rewards programs (preferred)
