Job Summary
Senior Toolmaker responsible for applying engineering principles to drive process improvements in the manufacturing of medical devices. Key duties include creating fixtures, tools, and gaging using manual and CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and Wire EDM per blueprints, supporting NPI production and identifying best-practice manufacturing and inspection methods, reviewing and dispositioning products to quality standards, revising CAD/CAM models/programs, supporting manufacturing engineers on projects, investigating improvement opportunities, and assisting in training production staff. Requires extensive CNC machining expertise, CAD/CAM proficiency (SolidWorks, MasterCAM), GD&T knowledge, strong problem-solving, and effective collaboration within a team.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive CNC machinist experience.
- Complete working knowledge of both manual and CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and wire EDM machines.
- Understanding of metals machining, processing, and finishing.
- Ability to inspect complex products using industry-appropriate methods.
- Good understanding of GD&T.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
- Proficient in MasterCAM.
