Job Summary
Senior Title Examiner will search public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of property titles, primarily for residential properties. Copy or summarize recorded documents affecting title, abstract and analyze records such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat/map books to verify ownership and legal description. Write title products based on procedural guidelines and provide underwriting interpretation within established guidelines. Mentor less experienced team members and assist with complex assignments; focus on Missouri and Kansas title examination; remote role.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Typically requires 5+ years directly related experience
- Title Examination experience in either Missouri or Kansas
- Multiple state licenses (as required by state) to do business in a broad geographic area
