Job Summary
Lead the design and performance development of MW-scale heat exchanger hardware for an advanced energy platform. Own thermal sizing, pressure-drop analysis, effectiveness calculations, and overall performance optimization. Develop and maintain 1D thermal-hydraulic models and perform CFD analyses to evaluate flow distribution and thermal performance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to establish design requirements and interfaces, drive heat exchanger development from concept through fabrication, and support prototype builds, commissioning, and hardware validation campaigns. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related field) and strong skills in heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, CFD, and thermal-system modeling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or related technical field
- Strong foundation in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
- Experience designing, sizing, and analyzing heat exchanger systems
- Proficiency with CFD analysis and thermal system modeling
- Experience developing engineering models using thermal-fluid simulation tools
