Job Summary
Develop cutting-edge thermal management systems for military, governmental, and commercial customers, ranging from hypersonic vehicles to power-dense laser weapons. Lead projects from conception to production by ideating solutions, conducting laboratory and prototype builds, performing experimental testing, and executing design for manufacture. Execute analytical calculations, computational simulations using CFD and FEA, and write proposals for new technologies. Interface directly with customers to understand specific needs and drive innovation in areas like microchannel cooling and additive manufacturing. Requires 10+ years of experience, PhD in ME preferred, US citizenship, and strong problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience
- Hands-on laboratory test experience
- US Citizenship
- GPA not less than 3.3 for all degrees
- Solid understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics
- Experience with data acquisition systems (LabVIEW preferred) including temperature, pressure, flow, and other sensors
Desired Qualifications
- PhD ME preferred, will consider MSME candidates
- CFD/FEA modeling (ANSYS/FLUENT) experience is a plus
