Senior Thermal Analyst

Senior Thermal Analyst responsible for performing thermal analysis and owning thermal design aspects across hardware development programs. Tasks include executing hand calculations, spreadsheets, and first-order MATLAB/Python models; developing CFD models to predict temperatures and heat transfer; generating and correlating integrated FEMs for imaging platforms; conducting test-model correlation to validate analytical predictions; collaborating with environmental test engineers on instrumentation selection, test execution, and data processing; preparing technical reports for internal teams, management, and external customers; and staying current with advancements in thermal analysis techniques and materials. Requires MS or higher in engineering or applied physics (focus on heat transfer/fluid dynamics), 7+ years in thermal analysis, and eligibility to obtain/maintain active U.S. Secret security clearance. Preference for STOP modeling experience and familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and CAD tooling.
