Job Summary

Design scalable platforms for performance, load, and reliability testing to enable engineers to validate scalability and detect infrastructure bottlenecks before production. Build automation that makes production-like validation simple, repeatable, and accessible across multiple teams while improving developer productivity and release confidence. Define engineering standards, test environment lifecycle, and technical direction for internal testing platforms and reliability practices. Drive cross-team guidance on platform validation and observability workflows to reduce operational risk and accelerate development.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong software engineering background working with distributed systems
  • Experience designing or operating internal engineering platforms, developer tooling or cloud-native infrastructure
  • Experience with performance, scalability or reliability engineering
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Experience with containers and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience building automation using CI/CD platforms and modern software delivery practices
  • Strong programming or scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash or similar)
  • Excellent technical communication skills and the ability to influence engineering teams through collaboration

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with GitLab and modern CI/CD platform engineering
  • Experience with load or performance testing frameworks
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration
  • Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tooling
  • Experience operating large-scale live services
  • Experience in the games industry or other high-scale consumer platforms
