Job Summary
Senior Test Engineer role at Tieto Banktech focusing on banking technology. Responsible for planning and executing Functional, Regression, Integration & User Acceptance Testing for complex web-based applications in the Payments and Cash Management unit. Create test plans and test cases, document requirements and estimations, and provide regular testing reports. Acts as an individual contributor, communicates effectively, and contributes to process improvements. Requires strong knowledge of test tooling (JIRA, Zephyr, HP ALM), Java/OOP, and Agile practices; banking/financial domain experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 10 - 14 years of experience
- Detailed understanding of how to properly document test cases
- Prepare test planning and create test cases to test complex web-based applications
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration & User acceptance Testing
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements and estimation
- Provide weekly/daily testing reports to the Test Lead/Manager
- Work as individual contributor and maintain high standards of communication
- Present ideas for system improvements; assist the team in establishing good practices and habits
- Should be able identify and document defects and drive them to closure through coordination
- Knowledge of at least one testing tool such as JIRA, Zephyr, HP ALM
- Strong knowledge of OOP concepts and Java programming language
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment
