Job Summary
Design, implement, and conduct functional, regression, performance, and usability testing for mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms. Perform functional testing of AWS backend services, including APIs, serverless applications, and databases. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Detox while identifying, documenting, and tracking defects via bug-tracking tools. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and UX designers to define test plans and ensure comprehensive coverage across various devices and OS versions. Conduct load and stress testing to evaluate app performance under varying conditions and contribute to continuous improvement in testing methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mobile Test Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer
- Hands-on experience testing mobile applications
- Test Engineer with front end engineering and testing experience
- Experience in manual testing and test case creation
- Strong knowledge of Android and iOS platforms
- Strong knowledge of testing AWS serverless backend architectures
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Detox
- Understanding of mobile application life cycles, including debugging, profiling, and memory management
- Knowledge of continuous integration (CI) and continuous testing processes
- Experience with tools like Jira & Xray or similar e.g. TestRail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
