Job Summary
Senior Test Automation Engineer responsible for designing and owning end-to-end automated test strategies across multi-layered test frameworks (unit, integration, system, UI, stress and performance) for healthcare software. You will build and evolve test harnesses and CI pipelines to catch regressions early, run reliably at scale, and provide fast, trustworthy feedback across C++ desktop, .NET and modern web estates. You will design and execute stress and performance tests, identify bottlenecks and stability risks, and collaborate with engineering to drive measurable quality improvements. You will work closely with software developers, architects and product management as the quality conscience of the team, championing test-driven, shift-left engineering practices. You will leverage AI agents and Claude Code to generate, maintain and triage tests, and to build automation skills and workflows for wider QA reuse. The role requires a senior level of expertise in test automation, familiarity with multi-layered test frameworks, and experience with AI-enabled QA workflows. The environment emphasizes quality-first mindset and English fluency (German a plus).
Required Qualifications
- Several years of senior-level experience in test automation
- Strong programming skills (C#, Java, Python or TypeScript)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern test tooling (e.g. Ranorex, Playwright, Cypress, GitLab CI)
- ISTQB or equivalent certification is appreciated
- Experience with Claude Code or similar — building agents, skills and workflows is a strong plus
- Fluent English; German is a plus
