Job Summary
Own and manage the Massachusetts territory by developing agency relationships and growing commercial P&C business. Spend most of your time in the field meeting with agency partners, increasing submission activity, and building a book of business aligned with underwriting guidelines. Review agency performance, adjust your territory approach based on results, and use data to determine where to focus time and effort. Follow a consistent sales process while tracking activity, pipeline, and results. Coordinate regularly with underwriting, distribution, and leadership teams to align on guidelines, pricing, and growth plans. This high-travel role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of territory management experience.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in territory management, production underwriting, or broker distribution
- Experience growing a book of business through agency relationships
- Knowledge of commercial P&C (Workers' Comp, BOP, Auto, Umbrella)
- Familiarity with the Massachusetts market and agency environment
- Experience using data and metrics to inform decisions
- Clear and effective communication with agency partners and internal teams
- Strong organizational skills and independent problem-solving in complex situations
- Excel required
- This position is subject to background screening, which may include drug testing and motor vehicle record review for roles involving driving
