Job Summary
Senior Tender Manager leads end-to-end tendering in a complex sales environment, ensuring competitive, compliant, and value-driven proposals by integrating cross-functional inputs from technical, financial, sourcing and commercial teams; develops commercial proposals and quotations, supports cost models, negotiates customer scope and terms, and prepares deal business cases for leadership approvals, contributing to regional sales plans and long-term growth. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8+ years of experience in commercial proposals, costing, contracts, finance, sourcing, project management, or related fields, with 5+ years in the Energy Offshore market and advanced English proficiency. Based in Houston with flexible work options but co-location with an office, aligning with Baker Hughes’ focus on collaboration and delivering winning bids.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; OR a degree in another field supported by strong analytical and mathematical capabilities
- 8+ years of experience across Commercial Proposals, Costing, Contracts, Finance, Sourcing, Project Management, or Application Engineering
- 5+ years of experience within the Energy Offshore market
- Advanced to fluent English proficiency, both written and verbal
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt messaging across different audiences
- Ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Ability to coordinate multiple commercial opportunities simultaneously in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities with attention to detail
- Resilience and ability to perform under pressure and manage workload seasonality
